The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 21 more cases of monkey pox in the country within the past seven days. The NCDC via its official website announced on Sunday that the disease could be spread by close contact and exposure to an infected person’s respiratory droplets, skin lesions or bodily fluids. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has explained how operationalising crowdfunding will accelerate financial inclusion agenda of the country and boost Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Flooding caused by the collapse of a mine dam wall in South Africa’s Free State province swept away houses and cars on Sunday, the provincial government said. The flooding killed one person and injured 40 others who have been taken to hospital for treatment. The provincial government said emergency services were evacuating scores of residents from the area. Some members of the community were forced to “escape with only the clothes on their backs,” the department was quoted as saying. The Al-Qaeda terrorist network on Sunday released a book written by a senior member including a detailed timeline leading up to the attacks on several U.S. airliners on September 11, 2001 which left nearly 3,000 people dead in three locations. The Oyo state command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of 15 persons in Friday’s accident on Eruwa-Lanlate road in Ibarapa East local government area of the state. It was earlier reported that no fewer than 20 persons were burnt to death in the accident which occurred on the road at about 2.05 p.m. on Friday.
