Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Mr Godwin Emefieler on Friday, said the steady increase in headline inflation from 15.60 per cent in January to 20.77 per cent in September was consistent with global trends. Gwarzo local government area of Kano state has said that it targets 9,926 children for vaccination against yellow fever. The primary health care coordinator of the local government, Mr Isyaku Hamza made this known at an evening review meeting of the exercise on Friday. Bayelsa state governor, Douye Diri on Friday, appealed to Nigerian government to jettison any plan to end the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), saying the programme is yet to achieve its objectives. The Edo State Commissioner for Youths and Gender Issues, Andrew Emwanta on Friday, said 39 perpetrators of Gender-Based Violence were convicted in the state within three years.
