The Nigerian Navy (NN) Board has approved the promotion of 55 senior officers to various ranks in the service. A statement by the Director of Information, Naval Headquarters, Commodore Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan on Friday, said 25 captains were elevated to Commodore while 30 Commodores were promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral. The board had earlier promoted 72 Commanders to the rank of Captain. Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai has been sued by a former kingmaker, Ibrahim Muhammad Aminu over the appointment of Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli as the 19th Emir of Zazzau. Bamalli, a former Nigeria Ambassador to Thailand, was appointed the 19th Emir of Zazzau on October 7, 2020 by El-Rufai.
