The Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi says President Muhammadu Buhari will be commissioning the Lagos-Ibadan railway in January 2021 to improve movement for cargoes and passengers in the country. Amaechi made this known during an oversight visit from Lagos to Ibadan to inspect the ongoing construction of the standard gauge in Ibadan on Saturday. Oyo State has reported its biggest daily jump in coronavirus new cases in two months, with other 72 persons who tested positive for the virus on Friday The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) revealed, up from 13 new cases the day before. The latest figure has brought the total COVID-19 cases to 3,409 while 814 patients are currently being treated for the coronavirus illness in the state.
