Hoodlums in Calabar have vandalised the Nigeria Labour Congress building, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and Cross River State Emergency Management Agency buildings where they carted away food stuff and torched the warehouse. Kebbi state government has confirmed an outbreak of gastroentritis in four local government areas following the contamination of water sources due to recent flooding in the state. The flood had rendered many people homeless, destroyed farm produce and other property and contaminated potable water sources. The Director, Community Health in the state Ministry of Health, Muhammad-Abdullahi Bubuce said on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi that 328 people were affected. Hoodlums in Onitsha, Anambra, have destroyed the statue of Nigeria’s first president Dr. Nnami Azikiwe, erected in the city. The hoodlums are suspected to be some of those who hijacked the #EndSARS protest to wreak havoc. The statute, located at Denis Memorial Grammar School roundabout in Onitsha, was erected months ago by Gov. Willie Obiano to further beautify the city. Zamfara state governor, Bello Muhammad has disclosed that the state government has deported 31 foreign nationals involved in illegal mining in the state. The governor made this known to State House Correspondents after he briefed President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday on security developments and the activities of illegal miners.
