Liman of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos. Sokoto state government and the United Nations (UN) Wednesday signed an Annual Work Plan (AWP) for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) activities in Sokoto put at a total value of $13,046,204 (N4.9 billion). The Supreme Court has dismissed an application by Shell Petroleum Development Company, asking it to review its judgment of January 11, 2019 that ordered Shell to pay N17 billion to Ogoni communities in Rivers. The communities were affected by an oil spill caused by the oil company in 1970.
