The President of the Senate, Sen. Ahmed Lawan, says lack of compliance with resolutions of the Legislature constituted was hindering the achievement of good governance in the country. The Sokoto State chapter of the Association of Date Farming, Processing and Marketing of Nigeria (ADAFPAM), says the projected production of date palm in the state will hit 100,000 tonnes by 2024. The Chairman, Muhammadu Maidoki stated this on Monday at a news briefing, to mark a three-day national conference of the association in Sokoto. “This will generate 72,000 direct jobs, support 840,000 indirect jobs and over N150 billion revenue annually for the state alone,” Maidoki said. Men of the intelligence service, in collaboration with those of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Monday evening, arrested the former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reforms Task Force, Mr Abdulrasheed Maina, in one of the towns Niger Republic. Justice T. B. Adegoke of the Federal High Court sitting in Asaba, Delta State today November 30, 2020  sentenced Onus Osagie Amahian, a former staff of Access Bank, to five years imprisonment.  Amahian was prosecuted by the Benin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  on a 25-count charge bordering on forgery and making false entry into Delta State Government payroll.
