President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that his administration will keep a keen eye on food inflation in the New Year. The Federal High Court Abuja, has adjourned the alleged certificate forgery case of the All Progressives Congress (APC) against Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo until Dec. 30. At the resumed hearing on Tuesday, the APC through its counsel, Mr Akin Olujimi, SAN, attempted to tender some documents in evidence through a subpoenaed witness. The PDP and Obaseki, however, objected to the tendering of the documents on the grounds that the process did conform with the laws guiding admissibility of documents. The Bauchi State House of Assembly, on Tuesday passed the state’s N213.9 billion Appropriation Bill for 2020. The amount is N46.7 billion higher than that of 2020 which was N167.2 billion. Governor Bala Muhammed on December 15, presented N213.9 billion appropriation estimate for 2021 to the House of Assembly tagged, “Budget of Fulfillment and Consolidation”. Enugu State House of Assembly on Tuesday passed the state’s 2021 appropriation bill of N169.8 billion. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that passage of the 2021 budget followed the presentation and adoption of a report by the House Committee Chairman on Finance and Appropriation, Mr Ezenta Ezeani during plenary.
