To help solve the housing shortage in Benue State, the state government has started building 1,080 new houses in Makurdi, the state capital. The Adamawa State Government has confirmed that eight people have died from an outbreak of a flesh-eating skin disease, which is suspected to be buruli ulcer. The State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Felix Tangwami, said the deaths happened in Malabu, a community in Fufore Local Government Area, where people were infected with the suspected disease. The Straight Child Foundation said it started treating 91 children born with clubfoot in August 2025. The treatments are taking place in 20 special clinics across 11 Nigerian states.
