The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has confirmed the shooting by bandits of its Alpha Jet aircraft, which crashed while returning from a successful air mission in Zamfara. NAF also revealed that the pilot of the aircraft, Flight Lieutenant Abayomi Dairo, successfully ejected himself from the aircraft, evaded the bandits and sought refuge in nearby settlements awaiting sunset. Approximately 65 per cent of misinformation about the vaccine that’s spread on social media can be traced back to 12 people, says the Centre for Countering Digital Hate in a recent report. The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies known as OPEC+ have decided to adjust upwards their overall production by 0.4 million barrels per day (mbd). The decision was taken at the end of the 19th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting on Sunday. A statement issued after meeting said the upward adjustment would take effect from August. The Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), says that adolescents in Nigeria are largely neglected, difficult-to-measure and hard-to-reach population who have not been prioritised for nutrition intervention.
