The death toll following severe flooding in China’s Henan province and its capital Zhengzhou has risen to at least 33. At least eight people were still missing, the authorities announced on Thursday. Since last Friday when the heavy rains began, at least 376,000 people in the province had been brought to safety from danger zones. Police operatives have rescued two of the abducted students of Bethel Baptist Secondary school in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state. The students were rescued Wednesday evening in Rijanna area along the Kaduna-Abuja highway. The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Ogun has confirmed the death of nine people in an accident involving two vehicles on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Wednesday.
