The Zamfara State Police Command have confirmed that bandits early Friday morning, abducted a total of 317 students of Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe. The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) said on Friday that, beginning from February, it reduced the food ration to refugees in Uganda to 40 percent due to funding shortages. The long-term outlook showed that funding was “extremely” challenging, the WFP said in a statement issued in the Ugandan capital. “Based on its funding forecasts, WFP cannot rule out deeper refugee ration cuts in the coming months,” the statement said. A Boeing 777 flight on Friday made an emergency landing in Moscow owing to engine problems, the operating Rossiya Airlines has said. The aircraft, which was en route from Hong Kong to Madrid, reported an “incorrect operation of the engine control sensor” mid-flight, and the crew members requested the landing at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport. The Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, has disbursed a total sum of N3,825,254,760.45 billion to the six Area Councils and other stakeholders as their share of statutory allocation for the month of January 2021.
