A retiring Supreme Court Justice, Olabode Rhodes-Vivour has revealed that corruption is deeply rooted in Nigeria. He stated this at a valedictory session held in his honour at the Supreme Court complex on Monday. The Publisher of Daily Nigerian, Jaafar Jaafar has petitioned the Inspector General of Police, IGP Muhammad Adamu against reported renewed threat to his life by governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state. In the petition, Jaafar stated that should anything happen to him for publishing videos of the governor stuffing dollars in his pockets, the governor should be held responsible. AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine performed better than expected in a major late-stage trial potentially paving the way for its emergency authorisation in the U.S. and bolstering confidence after numerous setbacks in Europe. Connected Development (CODE) says it is developing a website to assess the social gaps and challenges faced by citizens affected by COVID-19 pandemic in some African countries.
