The federal and Yobe state governments on Wednesday signed an N8.4 billion Damaturu Water Supply projects. Signing on behalf of the federal government, the Assistant Director Urban Water Supply, Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Habu Hassan said that the project would be completed within 24 months. On February 10, the Federal Executive Council approved N8.4 billion for the construction of a dam for the projects. Hassan explained that the contracts divided into three are all groundwater or borehole-based projects. ASHENEWS gathered that the informants were arrested in Shiroro and Munya local government areas of Niger state. A security source said that the informants were arrested while on their way to give information about the movement of troops deployed to the areas to bandits. While one of the informants is reported to be a medical doctor, others are youths and farmers.

The Nigeria Air Force, NAF, has launched a 2,000 hectares farm project under its Nigeria Air Force Investment Ltd, NAFIL, at the Tactical Air Command (TAC) Base in Makurdi.
