The Police Command in Benue has confirmed the killing of Dr Terkula Suswam, an elder brother of Sen. Gabriel Suswam, by gunmen at Anyiin on Tuesday evening. The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday, ordered a stay of proceeding in the ongoing trial of the former Head of Service (HoS), Mrs Winifred Oyo-Its, and others. The National Agricultural Extension and Research Liaison Services (NAERLS), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, is to train 75,000 agricultural extension agents on best agricultural practices to enhance food production in Nigeria. Prof. Emmanuel Ikani, Executive Director, NAERLS told newsmen on Wednesday in Zaria that already, 12,600 agricultural extension agents had been trained by the institute under its e-extension training programme. The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq has said that no fewer than 3,000 women in Kogi have benefited from the Federal Government’s Special Grant for Rural Women Project. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has solicited the National Assembly’s support to convert existing voting points in the country to polling units. The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 has declared as safe and efficacious, AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, as Nigeria takes delivery of 3.92 doses of the vaccine. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the PTF Chairman, Mr Boss Mustapha, made the  declaration in Abuja.
