Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto has approved annual visitation by parents of orphans affected by Boko Haram insurgency in Borno state. The governor gave the approval on Friday, when he received parents of orphans from Maiduguri being rehabilitated in Sokoto. Recall that the orphans were taken into custody by Sokoto-based Jarma UK Academy for rehabilitation and educational training three years ago. A police Sergeant, Mr Kabiru Isah has returned N1.2 million recovered from an accident scene to the relatives of the deceased in Kano State. The spokesperson of Kano State Police Command, ASP Abdullahi Haruna said this in a statement on Saturday.
