The Liberian government has announced a total of $15,000 cash reward for any one with useful information that leads to the arrest of perpetrators of recent high-profile murders in Monrovia. The Delta State Task Force on Environment says it has proposed N300 million for its activities in the 2022 fiscal year. Agency Chair Silvester Oromoni disclosed this in Asaba when he led other officials of the agency to defend the 2022 budget before the State House of Assembly Committee on Environment, Oil and Gas. Oromoni said that N165 million out of the fund would be for recurrent expenditure while N135 million is for capital expenditure. The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, says that Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari’s budget on local and foreign travels, meals and refreshments, sitting allowance, welfare package and office building is bigger than what has been allocated to 14 teaching hospitals in the country.
