The Federal High Court Lagos has declared the amended 6th edition of the National Broadcasting Code as illegal and the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) as lacking in powers to prohibit exclusivity on the right for privately acquired intellectual property in programme contents of a right holder. Researchers with the Federal University Dutse (FUD) have found that mosquitoes resistant to insecticide-treated nets were in Jigawa state, a statement by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Yahaya Bello made available to newsmen on Sunday, has said. Some benefitting farmers of the $35 million Savannah Investment Programme (SIP) and the Savannah Zone Agricultural Productivity Improvement Project (SAPIP) of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Tamale, Ghana have commended the projects.
