Sokoto: Sen. Wamakko donates to 105 victims of bandits attack in Illela

Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has donated food items to the victims of the recent bandits attack on 11 wards in Illela local government area of Sokoto state.

The victims who were displaced by the terrorists from their communities, received items including tones of rice, maize and Garri.

A statement by Wamakko’s special assistant on New Media, Bashar Abubakar said the Senator was represented by his Director of Administration, Almustapha Abubakar Alkali.

Wamakko expressed deep sorrow over the attacks and prayed Allah to prevent future occurrence of such ungodly act.

He said the succour brought to them was just to put some smiles in the faces of the victims, calling on the other well to do individuals in the Society to come to the aide of these victims so as to provides them with more shelters and cares to ease their sufferings.

Receiving the items on behalf of the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area, the Zonal Vice Chairman of the party in charge of Sokoto East, Usman Giwa Illela, thanked Senator Wamakko for the assistance and pledged to do justice in distributing the foodstuffs.

He explained that, Senator Wamakko is an exemplary leader who has the needy at his heart all the times.

Each of the 105 victims selected from Masasa, Gidan Katta, Kalmalo, Gaidau, Tafki and Damba villages, received one bag each of rice, maize and Garri to cushion the effect of hardship as a result of the attack.
