Culpable homicide is a form of criminal homicide that is defined as causing death by doing an act to cause death, or to cause such bodily injury as is likely to cause death, or with the knowledge that he is likely by such act to cause death. It is a competent verdict for a murder charge because, barring intent, the elements of the crime are the same.
