A northern movie producers association, known as Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria, MOPPAN, has suspended an ace actress, Rahama Sadau.
A statement by the association claimed that the picture, which she posted on her social media platforms, had resulted to blasphemous comments against Islam on Twitter and other social media handles, gwg.ng reports.
Sadau’s picture, which depicts her bare back, has generated controversy.
Recall that the popular actress was suspended in October 2016 for similar alleged misconduct.
Sadau however reacted through her Twitter handle, @rahama_sadau, saying that the pictures were harmless.
“Salam, it’s sad and unfortunate waking up to series of unexpected messages, tags & trends over the harmless pictures i posted. As a human, I laughed at some, frowned against many & disapproved most. To the most unfortunate event, some of these comments took a different dimension
“It’s in human nature to judge others and act as saint, I appreciate those who felt offended & decided to call me through DM’s, Text messages & phone calls. That’s true love & I’m never taking that for granted. EVER!
“Lastly, To the bloggers & everyone that saw a chance to trend, I do not wish for you what you wished upon me.
“Live & Let Live”, she tweeted.
