The Police on Monday in Ilorin arraigned one David Adedeji at an Area Court in Centre-Igboro for criminal breach of trust, cheating and criminal misappropriation.
The complainant, Morenike Samuel, an Area Resource person, had told the court that the defendant was one of his members of staff who mismanaged a sum of N552,900.
Samuel said the defendant got the money through payment of services rendered by different customers of the organisation, but failed to remit the money to the company.
She said the defendant agreed to the allegation when confronted by the company, and pleaded that he would pay the said amount when he had the means.
The complainant thereby urged the court to assist in getting the money back from the defendant.
The defendant however pleaded not guilty to the allegation.
The presiding judge, AbdulQadir Umar, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50,000 with a reliable surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned till Sept. 11 for hearing.
