ASHENEWS reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has urged newly inaugurated cadets to be diligent in the discharge of their duties.
The Chairman of the Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa gave the charge during the induction ceremony for the cadets of the EFCC.
The event was held at the Police Mobile Force Training College, Ende Hills, Akwanga, Nasarawa state on Thursday.
A statement issued at the end of the event by the Head, Media & Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren said that 115 Detective Inspectors were inducted into the service.
“Cadets, I urge you all to be committed to the profession you have signed up for. It is crucial for you to know that law enforcement, especially in the field of economic and financial crime is a crucial national service.
“He reminded them that it is “a career that takes years to build but requires only a minute to destroy, “Bawa said.
Bawa also commended the Nigeria Police Force for it’s support to the service.
The inducted cadets were trained in various aspects of forensic investigation, intelligence gathering, operational studies, ICT, and prosecution of economic and financial crimes.
At the end of the event, Cadets John Okoronkwo and Tawosen Jacob Benga were awarded overall best for outstanding performance, while Cadet Yusuf Jamiu Oluwaseun was the best Cadet in the drill. The EFCC Commandant’s award for command and leadership went to Cadet Abubakar Abdullahi.
