Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, has condoled the government and people of Kaduna State, over the death of the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris.
In a statement he personally signed and made available to Ashenewsonline on Sunday, the governor also condoled family of the late Emir.
“It is with heavy heart and sublime submission to the will of God that I receive the very unsettling news of the death of the Emit of Zaria, Alhaji Shehu Idris.
“The Octagenarian was until his passage one of the last standing third generation Northern monarchs who contributed immensely to national and regional development.
“He would be remembered, more profoundly, for his role in behind the scenes settlement of disputes that have become intractable in other domains and were referred to him by his peers.
“He commanded tremendous respect and witnessed the growth and expansion of his domain well into its present stage
“I, on behalf of the good people and government of Sokoto State, deeply sympathize with the government and good people of Kaduna State over this irreparable loss.
“I also, condole the family of the late Emir, just as I pray that may God grant him Aljannatul Firdausi,” Tambuwal stated.
