The Damaturu Division of the Federal High Court has affirmed Bashir Sheriff Machina as Yobe North senatorial candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Justice Fadima Aminu in her ruling on Wednesday, said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should immediately publish Machina’s name as APC’s candidate in the 2023 National Assembly (NASS) election.
While upholding the May 28 primary election of the party that was certified by INEC, the judge also held that Machina was duly elected senatorial candidate for APC.
