The Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi has received commendation from its Chairman, Balarabe Yusuf Douglas over the performance of his players in the just concluded 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Season.
He was speaking to Journalists on the team’s performance during the outgone season where it finished 10th on the table with 52 points.
Douglas who recalled the team’s struggles to escape relegation last season, said the players, technical crew, supporters, sports writers and other stakeholders had made meaningful contributions to what the club achieved this season.
He appreciated the Bauchi state governor, Bala Muhammed for his financial and moral support to the Club.
The chairman reiterated the commitment of the management to vigorously pursue programmes of the club for next season, including targeting continental outings.
Douglas debunked rumours that the Technical Adviser is leaving the Club, saying Kabiru Dogo signed a two-year contract and has never discussed such an issue with the Club.
He added that the management and the Technical Adviser have already started mapping out strategies for next Season.
Balarabe revealed that management will scout for new players to beef up the team for the new Season.
