The Sokoto Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has commiserated with the state governor, Aminu Tambuwal over the death of his brother, Muhammadu Tambuwal.
The monarch who died Tuesday evening, had served as the Wazirin (the Vizier) of Tambuwal for 37 years.
In a statement by the Secretary of the Council, Muhammad Nasir made available to ASHENEWS on Thursday, the Union expressed heart-felt grief over the loss and condoled governor Tambuwal, Sultan Saad Abubakar, the entire people of Tambuwal District and Sokoto state at large.
“On behalf of all working Journalists in Sokoto state, the Sokoto State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), use this medium to condole His Excellency Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, CFR (Matawallen Sokoto), his immediate family and the entire people of Sokoto state for this great loss.
“May Almighty Allah grant him Jannat and his entire family as well as his associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” the statement reads.
