Gunmen strick venue of a meeting of traditional rulers at Nnenasa community, headquarters of Njaba local government area of Imo state, Southeast Nigeria, killing at least, two.
Reports say that over 20 traditional rulers were in a meeting in the community when gunmen invaded the the place shooting sporadically.
The spokesperson of the Imo state police command, Mike Abatam confirmed that the gunmen killed two traditional rulers while three others were in coma.
The traditional rulers killed include the Obi II of Okwudor, Eze Anayo Durueburoe and the ruler of Ihebineoweri, Okwudor, Eze Samson Osunwa.
Those who sustained heavy gunshots injuries were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The state governor, Hope Uzodinma condemned the killings promised to bring the perpetrators to book.
