The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence and Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Anti Corruption,  has donated clothing materials and money for sewing, to no fewer than 8,000 People Living With Disabilities  (PWDs), and other indigent persons from across the state .

On the first day of the distribution ceremony, Saturday May 8, 2021, 3,000 women of all ages and statuses were each given a wrapper and money for sewing.

On the second day of the all-important gesture Sunday, May 9,2021, over 5,000 males also of all ages and statuses were each given guinea brocade (shadda), as well as money for sewing.

Wamakko, who was physically involved in the distribution of the largesse, was assisted by the Member, representing Wamakko and Kware Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Ahmed Kalambaina, a Director -General, Ibrahim J. J. and his eldest son, Mahdi Aliyu, among other personal Aides.

It could however be recalled that, this large scale distribution ceremony was scaled down in 2020 , sequel to the raging global Coronavirus Disease Pandemic  ( COVID-19).

The immeasurable gesture was still however unceremoniously extended to the ever expectant and elated beneficiaries, in line with the COVID-19 extant guidelines and protocols.

The perennial gesture of the former Governor of Sokoto State was aimed at further alleviating the suffering of the beneficiaries.

The invaluable gesture cannot also come at a better time than when the Muslims were gearing up for the Ei-el- Fitr celebrations , to mark the end of the Ramdan fast.

A cross section of the beneficiaries lauded Senator Wamakko, who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District, for the unparalleled gesture.

While urging other wealthy individuals to emulate him, they pledged to use the items judiciously.
