The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) have begun the 2025 promotion examination for more than 13,000 civil servants across 150 cadres and grades.

Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Mr. Emeka Ezeh, disclosed this in Abuja on Wednesday. He said the exercise was approved by the FCT Minister, Mr. Nyesom Wike.

Ezeh stated that the Computer-Based Test (CBT), which started on Wednesday, would last for 10 days as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

He added that Wike had directed the commission to conduct the 2026 promotion exercise before the end of the year so that all eligible officers can be given the opportunity to advance in the service.

“The minister has also directed the commission to work with all relevant agencies to ensure a hitch-free exercise.

“In line with the directive, we will do all we can to ensure that all issues that arose from the previous exercise do not reoccur,” he said.

Ezeh assured all candidates that arrangements have been concluded for a smooth exercise and appealed to participants to remain patient during the process.
