The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Rabiu Shuaibu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the winner of the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency by-election.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Umar Sani, announced Shuaibu as the winner of the election held on Saturday.
He stated that Shuaibu received 35,356 votes, defeating Lawal Garba-Haruna of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), who scored 268 votes, and Abubakar Yahaya-Muhammad of the Labour Party (LP), who garnered 98 votes.
“The election was contested. Rabiu Shuaibu of APC, having met the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected,” he declared.
The by-election was held to fill the vacancy created by the death of Muhammad Danjuma-Hassan of the NNPP.
