The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed the Public Health Security Framework Bill and the Nasarawa State Multi-Door Courthouse Bill into law.
Speaker Dr. Danladi Jatau announced the passage during plenary in Lafia.
“A bill to regulate the Public Health Security Framework for Nasarawa State and related matters has been read for the third time and passed,” Jatau stated.
He said the bill would help create a safe environment for people and animals, among other benefits.
The speaker directed the Clerk of the House to produce a clean copy of the bill for transmission to Gov. Abdullahi Sule for assent.
“Mr. Clerk, produce a clean copy for my review before sending it to His Excellency for assent,” he added.
Earlier, Deputy Majority Leader Mr. Abel Bala moved the motion for third reading, which was seconded by Minority Leader Mr. Luka Zhekaba.
The house unanimously passed the bill after the third reading.
The assembly also approved the bill to establish the Nasarawa State Multi-Door Courthouse, aimed at resolving conflicts and small claims to promote peace and development.
Jatau directed the clerk to prepare a clean copy for the governor’s approval.
Deputy Majority Leader Mr. Abel Yakubu-Bala moved the motion, seconded by Minority Leader Mr. Luka Iliya-Zhekaba, and the house unanimously passed the bill.
