The Chairman of Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area, Mr Akinola Idowu, has urged students to uphold discipline as he distributed 3,000 exercise books and writing materials to support learning.
This was contained in a statement issued on Monday by Mr Sunday Adefamoye, Chief Press Secretary to the council chairman.
According to the statement, Idowu, an alumnus of Orile-Agege Community Junior High School (1989–1995), returned to his alma mater to provide the educational support.
The distribution took place at Orile-Agege Community Junior High School and Eko Junior College, where hundreds of students benefited.
Each student received 10 exercise books and other writing materials to aid their studies in the new academic term.

Members of the 1995 set of Orile-Agege Community Junior High School participated in the exercise alongside the chairman.
Idowu also presented a manuscript titled “Dodo: From Dust to Destiny” to inspire the students on the importance of education.
The chairman emphasised that academic excellence must be complemented with good character to achieve success.
Council officials and members of the old students’ association attended the programme.
