Anthropologist Hassan Ali Ghazaly, founder of the Afromedia Initiative for Pan-African Journalism and Media, has congratulated Gohar Nabil on his appointment as Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports following a presidential decree and his swearing-in.
In a statement, Ghazaly, on behalf of the Afromedia team, expressed appreciation for the confidence placed in Nabil, noting that the next phase requires renewed vision and effective policies to empower young people, support sporting talent, and position sports as a tool for development in line with Egypt’s state strategy and New Republic vision.
He underscored the need to strengthen Egyptian-African cooperation in media, youth, and sports, describing it as vital for building cross-continental bridges, promoting shared values, identifying emerging African talent, showcasing positive role models, advancing joint initiatives, and supporting sustainable development while reinforcing Egypt’s soft power across Africa.
Ghazaly expressed confidence in Nabil’s leadership and expertise to drive progress in the youth and sports sectors, deepen regional partnerships, and deliver benefits for Egyptian and African youth.
He added that Afromedia stands ready to support national and regional efforts aimed at investing in youth potential, developing sports infrastructure, and expanding Egypt-Africa collaboration.
“We wish Minister Nabil every success in his national mission,” Ghazaly said.
