A Diaspora group, Nigeria’s Interest has called for a probe into corruption allegations against Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
The Diaspora group, through its spokesperson, Abanikanda Olumoro insists that Tunji-Ojo must clear his name before contesting elective offices in 2027 and 2029.
Their demand followed an anti-corruption conference by UNILAG’s Faculty of Social Sciences, PANAFSTRAG and CISLAC, which described corruption as Nigeria’s biggest democratic obstacle.
Tunji-Ojo, they alleged, still has unresolved questions over his role in the NDDC contract scandal and the Beta Edu saga.

He was also accused of sidelining the leadership of Immigration, Civil Defence and Correctional Service in recruitment and promotions.
“This is not conviction but a demand for credible investigation,” the Diaspora group said.
They warned that ignoring integrity concerns could cost APC electoral victories and further erode public trust in Nigeria’s democracy.
