The Sokoto State branch of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) has expressed its condolences to the national and state bodies of the association over the death of its member, Barrister Solomon Alimasunya. Alimasunya passed away on August 1, 2024, after a brief illness.
In a statement issued by the Chairman of the Branch, Rashidat Mohammed, the late Alimasunya was eulogized for his kindness, honesty, integrity, hard work, dedication, and professionalism.
“It is with total submission to the will of God that we announce the passing of Elder Solomon Alimasunya, Esq. He is survived by his wife and four children.
“Elder Solomon Alimasunya Esq. was born on March 5, 1960. His unwavering commitment to the Nigerian Bar Association and his exemplary service to the legal community in Sokoto have left an indelible mark on all of us.

“Throughout his life, Elder Solomon Alimasunya, Esq. displayed a profound dedication to justice and the legal profession. It is instructive to note that his active participation in NBA activities and his thoughtful leadership inspired many and strengthened the unity of the Caliphate Bar.
“He was a gentleman and an elder per excellence, known for his kindness, honesty, integrity, hard work, dedication, and professionalism.
“As we mourn his loss, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May we find comfort in the memories of his kindness, professionalism, and the positive impact he had on our lives,” the statement reads.
