Harmony with the traditional institutiin, for service to citizens and subjects is symbolised in the Administration of Governor Aminu Tambuwal in Sokoto state. And the most recent product of that is the installation, by Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, of 15 new District Heads last, which took place on Saturday.
Of the number, one is the Head of the new District of Asara that was created after consultations between the government and the Sultanate Council, which Governor Tambuwal explained, was based on the Caliphate’s historical antecedents.
He addressed the Adiya Clan, descendants of Sultan Atiku, son of Sheikh Usmanu Danfodiyo, who paid courtesy on him at the Presidential Lodge in Sokoto.

Tambuwal said by the same historical origins, Asara town is headquarters of the new District, for which he assured of government’s full support towards its development.
The Governor advised Alhaji Musa Muhammad Adiya, the new District Head, to be compassionate and dedicated to the service of his subjects, as well as prove to be his domain’s worthy ambassador to the Sultanate Council.
Acknowledging the new traditional ruler’s background as a business man, Tambuwal urged him to make his experience bear in advancing enterprise among his people. He described the Adiya Clan as cohesive and harmonious.
The spokesperson for the family, Abdullahi Adiya, expressed the clan’s appreciation for the creation of Asara District and appointment of Musa Muhammad as its pioneer Head.
He pledged their full support to the Tambuwal Administration.
The Adiya Clan went along with huge delegation of sons and daughters of various ages, civil servants, Muslim clerics and business men.
