LPV Technologies (LPVT) says it is ramping up local production of TÜV-certified solar panels to address one of Nigeria’s biggest renewable energy challenges — delays in solar equipment imports.
The Group Head of Supply Chain at Levene Energy, owners of LPV Technologies, Mr. Olugbenga Odunlami, disclosed this in a statement issued in Lagos on Monday.
Odunlami said that by manufacturing locally, the company aims to eliminate the long delays and uncertainties associated with imports while delivering solar panels that meet globally recognised standards.
He noted that by producing IEC-standard modules in Lagos, LPVT ensures timely delivery and consistent quality for energy projects across the country.
“We recognise how urgent Nigeria’s energy needs are,” Odunlami said.
“From the heat-soaked rooftops of Lagos to the dust-laden outskirts of Sokoto, each panel is field-tested where energy matters most, ensuring resilience, reliability, and relevance beyond the lab.
The result is a high-performance panel that delivers superior energy yield and long-term reliability.
This move not only supports Nigeria’s local content policy but also empowers developers and installers with a dependable, premium-grade alternative to low-quality imports.”
Odunlami explained that reducing dependency on foreign supply chains would help build a more resilient energy infrastructure while supporting local job creation and industrial growth.
He said the company’s Lagos-based facility serves as a hub of innovation, where Nigerian engineers and technicians collaborate to produce panels that rival global brands.
According to him, LPVT’s commitment to timely supply, consistent quality, and advanced technology is reshaping the solar procurement landscape.
“Our approach combines speed, quality, and accessibility — key ingredients for accelerating solar adoption across Nigeria,” he said.
Also speaking, Mr. Vincent Eka, Supply Chain Manager at LPV Technologies, said field tests conducted by several distributors and offtakers have consistently shown that LPVT’s locally manufactured panels outperform imported alternatives.
Eka said the panels are traceable, tested, and trusted, backed by Nigerian engineers who understand both the terrain and the technology.
He explained that LPVT’s edge lies in its use of advanced monocrystalline cells, Grade-A components, and a high-tech production line, enabling the panels to deliver higher energy yields, slower degradation, and dependable performance in Africa’s demanding climate.
“This breakthrough is reshaping buyer expectations and pushing the industry toward higher standards, proving that ‘Made in Nigeria’ can mean premium-grade,” Eka said.
“By offering transparency, traceability, and proven performance, LPVT is restoring confidence in solar procurement.
Our panels are not just an alternative — they are the new standard.”
Eka added that the company’s certification journey involved rigorous audits, testing, and validation, resulting in a product developers and installers can trust.
He noted that, unlike unverified imports, LPVT’s panels come with guaranteed quality and a proven performance record, positioning them as the future of solar in Nigeria — accountable, high-performing, and proudly local.
LPV Technologies is an African brand that combines global-standard technology with local expertise to manufacture solar panels engineered for Africa’s unique energy needs.
