Multiple award-winning broadcaster Channels Television (ChannelsTV) has received another industry recognition after emerging as the recipient of the Media Leadership Prize at the 2026 Lagos Enterprise and Excellence Awards.

The honour was presented at the awards ceremony held in Lagos, where the organisers celebrated individuals and organisations that have demonstrated excellence, innovation and leadership across various sectors of the Nigerian economy.

Channels Television’s News Editor, Melinda Akinlami, received the award on behalf of the station.

According to the organisers, the award recognises the sustained commitment of ChannelsTV to credible journalism, professional broadcasting and its contribution to the development of Nigeria’s media industry. They also described all award recipients as ambassadors of the Nigerian brand, urging them to continue inspiring others through excellence and outstanding achievements.

The latest recognition adds to Channels Television’s growing list of local and international honours earned over the years for excellence in news reporting and broadcasting.

Earlier this year, the station was named Television Station of the Year at the Nigeria Broadcasting Awards, further reinforcing its reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading broadcast organisations.

ChannelsTV has consistently earned accolades for its editorial standards, comprehensive news coverage and commitment to public-interest journalism, maintaining its position among the country’s most recognised media institutions.
