Mr Solomon Kumangar, the Director-General, Media to Adamawa governor Ahmadu Fintiri has boasted that, in project delivery, no representative of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from Adamawa could be compared to a council chairman under Fintiri administration.
Kumangar was reacting on Sunday, to a statement credited to the opposition APC caretaker chairman in the state, Ibrahim Bilal that the APC lawmaker had performed better than the governor.
Describing the statement as mere “jokes and fallacy”, Kumangar maintained that Bilal’s outburst against the governor was due to ignorance.
According to him, if Fintiri’s government needed public rating of its stewardship, it would not consider statements or assertions of people like Bilal.
“Gov. Fintiri’s government parades an array of vibrant chairmen in the 21 local councils of Adamawa state. We are yet to see any APC representative from Adamawa state that can be compared to achievements of any council chairman under Fintiri’s watch.
“Let it be on record that no APC representative from Adamawa either as a Senator or House of Reps or Assembly members can be equated to any of the 21 council chairmen in terms of capacity and ability to deliver on governance,” he said.
Kumangar threw open challenge to the APC chairman to point at any project he has ever attracted to his Michika local government either as substantive chairman of APC or caretaker committee chairman.
“Kumangar admonishes APC national caretaker committee chairman, Mai Mala Buni to consider replacing Bilal with someone that can write his name, as the office of a party chairman in Adamawa state is too sophisticated to be handled by someone like Bilal.”
