ASHENEWS reports that Aisha Bura has been elected as the new president of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) during the Association’s 11th triennial delegates conference.
This decision was made after a keenly contested election where she defeated the incumbent NAWOJ President, Mrs Ladi Bala on Saturday night in Abuja.
The other newly elected officials include Wasila Ladan as National Secretary; Lillian Okonkwo as National Deputy President and Jamila Chinwe as National Auditor.
