Abductors of two sharia court judges in Zamfara state, who were kidnapped on September 12, 2020 have demanded for N20 million as ransom before they can be released.
Ashenewsonline reported here that the two judges, Mallam Sabiu Abdullahi and Mallam Shafi’i Jangebe, were abducted on their way from Niger Republic where they attend lectures.
However, Malam Hassan, a family source of one of the kidnapped judges, told Ashenewsonline Tuesday morning that the kidnappers called Monday evening and demanded for N20 million as ransom.
“They called us yesterday evening to demand for N10 million for each of the two kidnapped but we told them that we do not have such money. Immediately we told them that we do not have the money, the kidnappers switched off their phone. As we await their next call, we have now intensified prayers for their safe release.
