Liz Truss has resigned as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK).
ASHENEWS reports that the embattled Truss who resigned exactly 45 days after her election, had boasted that she would fight to remain in office.
This online medium further reports that her resignation came barely 24 hours after saying that was a “fighter and not a quitter.”
Liz Truss was elected as Prime Minister on September 5, 2022 after Boris Johnson was forced to resign in July over COVID-19 partygate.
Liz Truss said she would stay on until a successor is chosen in the next week.
