The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing healthcare service delivery across the country, in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Deputy Senate President, Sen. Barau Jibrin, stated this on Sunday while inspecting ongoing health projects at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH), Kano.
He said the intervention projects, which include the construction of Cardio-Cerebral and Paediatric Centres as well as hostels for nursing students, would increase bed capacity and improve service delivery at the facility.

“These initiatives align with President Tinubu’s vision for a revitalized healthcare sector,” Jibrin said.
He added that with well-trained medical students and modern health infrastructure, Nigeria could achieve its national healthcare development goals.
The Chief Medical Director of AKTH, Prof. Abdulrahman Sheshe, commended the federal government for the support, noting that the interventions would strengthen healthcare delivery in Kano, the North-West region, and the country at large.
Sheshe said the projects were progressing as planned and expressed optimism that they would be completed and inaugurated as scheduled.
“They reflect President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to advancing Nigeria’s health sector,” he added.
