The Akinjide Adeosun Foundation (AAF) has emphasized the need for sustained interventions in zero hunger, good health, and quality education in Nigeria.

The Founder and Chairman of AAF, Mr. Akinjide Adeosun, made the statement on Tuesday in Lagos while marking the foundation’s decade of leadership building and unveiling its 2026 initiatives.

Adeosun, a pharmacist, said Nigeria’s development requires deliberate efforts to address hunger, healthcare access, and education gaps.

“Nigeria needs interventions focused on zero hunger, good health and well-being, and quality education. The AAF has aligned its programs with these priorities over the past decade,” he said.

Established in 2015, the foundation aims to build a pipeline of ready leaders by 2035. Over the past ten years, AAF has positively impacted thousands through its programs, including Food Banks, Free Health Missions, and educational training, while awarding individuals and organizations that exemplify good leadership values.

Adeosun outlined the 2026 plan, highlighting the annual colloquium and awards ceremony on April 25 in Lagos, themed “Trust Surplus: An Imperative to Building a Wealthy Sovereign Nation.” Facilitators will address topics including Defence & Security, Technology, Health, and Church & Home. Awards will recognize eminent individuals and corporate organizations.

He said AAF will continue initiatives addressing hunger, healthcare, and education challenges. The Food Bank, Health Mission, and Education Fair programs will be sustained, while a new initiative, Cleaner Energy, will provide basic solar power for households without electricity, enabling students to study at home.

“Our 10-year journey has transformed into a pipeline of ready-now and ready-later young global leaders,” Adeosun said.

He called on stakeholders, corporates, and like-minded NGOs to collaborate with the foundation to extend the reach and impact of its programs.
