Fatima Mohammed Bago, the First Lady of Niger State, has commissioned the Muhammadu Egba Enagi Memorial Primary Healthcare Centre in Dikko, Edati Local Government Area.
The project was undertaken in memory of her late father, Muhammadu Egba Enagi.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Bago described the occasion as deeply personal. She noted that the modern health facility was built on the foundation of a modest dispensary her father—a respected educationist and community leader—had established in service to his people.
“To witness this place become a centre where mothers will deliver safely, children will be cared for, and the elderly treated with dignity moves me in ways I cannot fully express,” she said.
She extended heartfelt appreciation to her elder brother, Abba Dikko, who spearheaded the project, and to other family members who turned their grief into generosity. She also praised Zainab Abdulkadir Kure for her consistent support and presence.
Mrs. Bago thanked the Niger State Ministry of Primary Health Care for its steadfast partnership and urged the people of Dikko to take ownership of the facility, protect it, and ensure it serves the community for years to come.
The new centre is one of many being established across the state under the health infrastructure initiative led by the administration of Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago.
