The Progressive Governors Forum, led by Kebbi governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu on Monday, commiserated with the government and people of Zamfara state on the fire outbreak that gutted Tudun-Wada Central Market Gusau, recently.

He added that the visit was sincere demonstration of brotherhood, friendliness and love for one another as Nigerians under whatever circumstance.

Bagudu made a donation of N50 million naira on behalf of the Forum to the victims of the inferno, recalling that recently Katsina Central Market suffered similar fate of which APC made the same gesture.

The governor said that the APC was open minded with commitment to carry everyone along including opposition parties.

Bagudu who is the Chairman, Progressives Governors Forum, commended Zamfara state Governor, Bello Muhammad for executing development projects that improved the wellbeing of the citizenry, which has been the cardinal objective of the APC administration under President Muhammadu Buhari.

In response, the Zamfara governor thanked the APC leadership and Buhari for despatching high-powered delegation to sympathize with traders, describing the APC as a party to be reckoned with, considering its response to the disaster and huge donation to the traders.

Governor Muhammad vowed to sustain his association with the APC.

Before departure from Gusau, the APC delegation commissioned 19 Government Lodges located in the state capital as accommodation for each of the Northern governors whenever they are in Gusau or on transit.
