Zamfara Coalition of Youth Political Group has called on Sanusi Mai-Tuta to declare to contest as governor of the state in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The group coordinator, Mannir Hashim Zurmi made the call while briefing journalists in Gusau, the state capital on Tuesday.
According to him, the group which is comprised of 18,000 youths arrived at the decision to call on Mai-Tuta to contest after carefully comparing his pedigree with others and found him worthy.
“After series of consultations and review of our political leaders by the group’s research arm, we have decided to call in Mai-Tuta to come forward and contest the office of Governor of Zamfara state.
“Failure on him to declare his intention to contest, we will have no option than to approach the court to compel him to answer the call of the people,”
The group also said that their choice of Mai-Tuta is because he has been doing his best to assist the less-privileged people in Zamfara, which has been declared as state with the highest number of the poor.
