The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Gubernatorial Campaign Council in Kebbi State, says it has uncovered plot by some unscrupulous elements in the All Progressives Congress (APC), to rig tomorrow’s elections.
The Director General, Abubakar Shehu Geda, made the allegation while addressing a press conference in Birnin Kebbi on Friday.
According to him, the enemies of democratic process had perfected documented plans to disrupt elections in 16 of the 21 Local Government Areas of the State.
“They had plans to connive with some unpatriotic İNEC staff to start elections late, deliberately deactivate BVAS, ensure over-voting and violence. These ations would in turn lead to the cancellations of polling units.
“Now that the evil plans have been exposed, we are urging INEC, Police, DSS and relevant authorities to investigate the matter and bring the culprits to book for deliberately truncating Nigeria’s democracy.
He then urged the party faithful to come out en mass to vote PDP into office, resist any attempt that will invalidate their votes and work as united party agents throughout the electioneering process.
Meanwhile, the Kebbi State Police Command have promised neutrality during Saturday polls, and INEC has distanced itself from the allegation, promising to maintain its neutrity.
