Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, has charged the recently elected officials of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, to operate an open-door policy in order to woo new members and accommodate more people that were willing to join the party.
The governor made the called when he hosted the new state and local governments party executives in the state.
According to Tambuwal, “By opening your doors, more supporters will join the party because many people are already showing their interests to do so. There is the need for you to bring unity among the party supporters. Carry everybody along in order to move the party forward,” the governor advised.
Tambuwal commended the party faithful for the peaceful conduct of the party congresses at all levels in the state.
While congratulating the new officials, Tambuwal assured them that his administration is willing to give all necessary support and cooperation to the them so as to enable them perform their duties effectively.
He charged them to justify the confidence that the party members had reposed on them and operate as a one family.
The new chairman, Bello Muhammad Goronyo said the new executives will work hand-in-hand with the state government with a view to contribute their quota for the development of the state.
He thanked the party supporters for giving them opportunity to serve and also called for unity and cooperation to enable the party achieve its goals of moving the state forward.
