The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the names of 50,000 successful applicants for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force, marking the completion of the latest phase of the nationwide police recruitment exercise.
The commission announced that successful candidates can check their status on the official police recruitment portal and are expected to proceed with the next stage of the enlistment process in line with the schedule provided by the commission.
According to the PSC, the recruitment exercise was conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant stakeholders, with emphasis on transparency, merit and adherence to the federal character principle.
The commission said the successful applicants emerged after undergoing a rigorous selection process that included online registration, physical and credential screening, and other assessment stages conducted across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
PSC Chairman, Hashimu Salihu Argungu, congratulated the successful candidates and urged them to remain disciplined as they prepare for training and eventual integration into the Nigeria Police Force.
He reiterated that the recruitment process was free of charge and warned members of the public to disregard fraudsters who may seek to exploit applicants under the guise of offering assistance.
The recruitment of 50,000 constables is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to strengthen the operational capacity of the Nigeria Police Force and improve security across the country.
